Meditation is the art of stilling the mind. It allows us to reconnect to who we are, be true to ourselves, create time for ourselves and be truly present in the moment.

Meditation helps to reduce stress by teaching us to switch off from the worries that can plague us through the day. Meditation gives us the opportunity to spend time by ourselves, without the feeling at the beck and call of others. Spending 5-15 minutes in quietening the mind and focusing on the present moment, makes us more relaxed and effective decision makers.

Guided meditations can be passed on but meditation cannot be taught. Each individual will experience something different to someone else. It is your own journey. Its takes time, patience and perseverance but once mastered the rewards are immense.

Yes To Yoga offers the chance for you to totally switch off from everyday life at the end of each class with wonderful yoga nidra. 

Yoga nidra is a relaxation/meditation technique often called 'yogic sleep'. You will be guided into deeper levels of freedom and health, offering you the chance to rest, balance, restore and energise your whole being. You will identify sensations throughout your body and focus on your breath while remaining in a state of relaxed awareness so that you may release deeply held tensions, some of which you may not even be aware.
